“Case Studies” is a mixed-media portrait series that documents individuals who have never been in love. Each portrait is activated through touch: participants trigger the camera shutter by applying pressure to a force-sensitive sensor placed directly on their body. Accompanied by temporary tattoos bearing intimate text, the act of touch becomes both a physical and emotional gesture. Through self-portraits and interviews, the project explores intimacy, vulnerability, and emotional absence by framing photography as a self-participatory act in which touch becomes a quiet form of self-authorship.
